Clear Pricing for Visiting Care
At Heart of Gold Homecare, we believe that accessing care should be simple, transparent, and completely tailored to your needs. From your very first enquiry, you’ll receive honest advice, clear pricing, and a personalised approach to ensure peace of mind at every stage of your care journey.
1. Transparent Pricing
From the first phone call, our team will clearly explain all costs involved in your care. We pride ourselves on complete transparency — there are no hidden fees, no surprises, and no unapproved charges. You’ll always know exactly what you are paying for.
What This Means for You:
- Clear, written quotations before care begins
- Flexible pricing based on your exact care requirements
- Regular reviews to ensure your package remains suitable and cost-effective
2. No Hidden Fees
We believe in honesty and fairness. All our charges are discussed and agreed with you (or your representative) before your care package starts.
You’ll receive a clear statement that outlines:
- The hourly rate for each visit
- Any applicable weekend or bank holiday enhancements
- Mileage or travel costs (if relevant and agreed)
- Payment terms and review periods
3. A Stress-Free Care Journey
Your care experience should be simple and worry-free. Our dedicated Care Coordination Team will support you from the first conversation right through to ongoing care reviews — ensuring smooth communication and continuity of care.
How We Make It Easy:
- One-to-one support with your local care manager
- Help with paperwork and funding options
- Regular feedback and progress updates
4. Personalised Support
Every individual’s needs are unique — and so are our care plans. You’ll only ever pay for the care you genuinely need, ensuring that your plan is bespoke, efficient, and person-centred.
Your Visiting Care Plan May Include:
- Personal care and hygiene support
- Meal preparation and nutrition support
- Medication prompting or administration
- Companionship and social engagement
- Support with mobility, appointments, and daily routines
How Do I Access Visiting Care?
We’ve made arranging care straightforward and stress-free so you can focus on what matters most — your wellbeing and independence.
Step 1: Speak to Our Team
Call our care experts for a friendly chat about your needs. We’ll explain your options, answer any questions, and provide initial guidance on the next steps.
Step 2: Free Home Care Assessment
A local Heart of Gold Care Manager will visit you (or your loved one) to carry out a no-obligation home assessment. Together, we’ll design a personalised care plan based on your preferences, health needs, and daily routines.
Step 3: Find Your Carer
We’ll carefully match you with a trained, compassionate carer who fits your personality and has the right skills for your care requirements.
Social Care Funding Accepted
If you are receiving social care funding from your local authority and have opted for Direct Payments or a Personal Budget, we are happy to accept these as part of your payment.
You can also choose to top up your local authority funding to increase your care hours or tailor the support to your personal preferences.
This gives you full flexibility and control — allowing you to choose Heart of Gold Homecare as your preferred provider, rather than having your care arranged for you by the council.
Funding Your Care: Exploring Your Options
Choosing how to fund long-term care is an important decision, and we’re here to guide you through it.
Common Funding Routes:
- Local Authority Funding – Based on a financial assessment (means-tested)
- Direct Payments / Personal Budgets – Gives you control over how your care is arranged
- Private (Self-Funded) Care – You fund your own package directly with us
- NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) – For individuals with complex or clinical needs
- Benefits and Allowances – Such as Attendance Allowance or Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
Other Financial Options:
- Immediate Needs Annuity – Provides a regular income to cover care costs
- Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) – Ensures trusted individuals can make decisions on your behalf
- Equity Release / Asset Planning – Seek independent financial advice before pursuing these routes
Our team can help you understand your options and signpost you to trusted professionals for independent advice.

At Heart of Gold Homecare, we stand by our values of Trust, Compassion, Dignity, and Transparency. We ensure every client — regardless of funding route — receives high-quality, person-centred support delivered by caring, trained professionals.
