What Does a Care Assistant Do?

As a Care Assistant, you will:

  • Support Daily Living – Help clients with personal care, dressing, bathing, and toileting, always respecting their privacy and dignity.
  • Encourage Independence – Assist with mobility, meal preparation, and medication reminders, empowering clients to stay as independent as possible.
  • Provide Companionship – Offer emotional support, social interaction, and a friendly presence, helping clients feel valued and connected.
  • Household Support – Help with light housekeeping, errands, and maintaining a clean and safe home environment.
  • Monitor Well-being – Notice and report any changes in health or mood to the Care Coordinator or management team.
